Recreational Soccer in Ancaster & Hamilton

Ancaster Legacy Football Club is proud to offer an outdoor house league soccer program for Boys and Girls from ages Under-3 to Under-16 in Ancaster and Hamilton.

The recreational soccer program is designed to focus on player engagement, player development and creating an enjoyable soccer experience for each player, while ensuring they receive the mental health and physical benefits of playing soccer and allowing them to develop socially with their team-mates.

ALFC’s objective is not only for players to have a place to play – but to learn soccer skills and developing a love of the game while doing it!

More House League Info:

  • Technical Support and Game Day Resources for all our volunteer coaches based on Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) model.   All coaches to receive a mandatory in-house coaching orientation session from our Technical Director.  
  • An Under-3 & Under-4 program focused on PHYSICAL LITERACY & FUN! Led by the convenors, volunteers & with parent participation
  • From Under-5 to Under-12, an age group structure that is focused on player development of fundamental skills to be used during matches.
  • The Under-14 and Under-16 programs interlock with other local area soccer clubs for their game schedule. All Home games will be held in Ancaster.
  • An ‘All-Star’ player pathway – linking our House League to our Competitive Soccer program.  Players to be identified and evaluated by our Technical Director and Coaching Staff.

What is the Advanced Development Program (ADP) for Recreational Players?

The Advanced Development Program (ADP) is a separate program designed for recreational players who want more focused, high-quality training in a positive and supportive environment. 

Due to the limited capacity for this program, priority, selection, and admittance will be given to players registered for our 2026 Outdoor Summer House League season.  If you have any questions, please contact houseleague@ancasterlegacy.com.

Running over 10 weeks (June 13 – August 15) at Melissa Tancredi Field (ACC F3), ADP provides age-appropriate training sessions for U8, U10, U12, and U14 boys and girls, led by ALFC’s Technical Director, alongside certified and experienced coaches from backgrounds which include USport, NCAA, OCAA, and League1 Ontario.

Each session emphasizes:

  • Core technical skill development (ball mastery, passing, receiving, finishing)

  • Fundamentals-first coaching, with more detailed individual attention

  • Small-group instruction with capped numbers to ensure quality

  • Game play during the final 10–15 minutes to apply learning in match situations

The program includes screening for ALFC’s Competitive Pathway, making ADP an ideal stepping-stone for families exploring next-level opportunities.

This program is best suited for recreational players who love the game, want to improve faster, and are ready for a more structured development experience.

The Advanced Training Development Program (ADP) is for U8-U14 Recreational Players.  It is a separate 10-week training program designed by our Technical Director and run by qualified coaches.  It can be an early evaluation of players for our competitive stream.

Cost: $150 per player for 10 Weeks

U8 (birth years 2018,2019) 10:00am – 10:50am

U10 (birth years 2016, 2017) 11:00am – 11:50am

U12 (birth years 2014, 2015) 12:00pm – 12:50pm

U14 (birth years 2012, 2013) 1:00pm – 1:50pm 

ADP Cancellation Policy:

  • A $50 cancellation fee applies to all ADP registration cancellations.
  • No refunds will be issued after May 1, 2026

Weather and Uncontrollable Event Cancellations

Ancaster Legacy Football Club makes every reasonable effort to deliver all scheduled programming; however, from time to time, sessions may be cancelled due to weather conditions or circumstances beyond the Club’s control (including facility closures, field conditions, public safety advisories, or other unforeseen events). In such cases, partial refunds, make-up sessions, or program credits will not be issued

Registration fees are structured to reflect the overall cost of program delivery; including facility rentals, staffing, insurance, equipment, and administrative expenses which remain fixed regardless of individual session cancellations. 

We appreciate the understanding of our families as we prioritize safety, sustainability, and the long-term viability of our programs.

Notes:

  • NEW – All weekday matches for U8 – U12 will begin at 6:15pm 
  • NEW – ADP Training sessions will replace practice sessions for U8 – U12

  • Interlock (Under-14, Under-16) HOME matches will take place at Ancaster High School.  All AWAY matches may take place on different days and will be at different locations, depending on other club’s schedules

Please ensure you are registered to attend.  This is a separate training program for U8-U14, outside of the scheduled games.  This is a 10-week Saturday program run by certified and qualified coaches at Melissa Tancredi Field, and designed by our Technical Director.   See above for more information.

August 22, 2026: Super Saturday Event for U3-U12 – More information to come.

Week of August 25, 2026: Advanced Development Program (ADP) All-Star Games – Information to be distributed to participants at a later time.
